Meet the Founder
Lestarya Molloy
Growing up, Lestarya had never been camping and knew nobody who did. At a young age, her parents passed away, and Lestarya hiked to heal. Eventually, she became curious to go camping.
Despite freezing in her not-so-good sleeping bag, she fell in love with the freedom and clarity that camping brought her.
Over time, she figured out camping and introduced many more people to it. Lestarya is passionate about making camping and outdoor recreation accessible and enjoyable for all, especially people of color who have been under-represented in outdoor recreation.
As Lestarya builds Fridie Outdoors, she draws on 15 years of experience innovating and introducing first-of-its-kind technology that makes a difference in millions of people’s lives all over the world.
Lestarya graduated from UC Berkeley with B.S. Environmental Economics & Policy, and earned her M.S. Applied Psychology from the University of Southern California.
